Our history goes back to 1735, when the Mining and Metallurgy Institute of Selmecbánya was founded.
The Selmec Student Traditions, still alive today, were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014.
Hundreds of students are officially accepted as students in the Selmec Student Traditions every year. Several times a year, students organise excursions to Selmecbánya, where they can discover the predecessor institutions of our University.
