Explore Our Global Classroom: Dive into International Study Programs – MBA, PhD, and BBAM 

We offer a wide array of study programmes taught entirely in English for students at all levels: Bachelor of Business Administration and Management (BBAM), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and PhD in Management and organizational sciences or Regional sciences. 

For undergraduates, the Bachelor of Business Administration and Management (BBAM) is designed for students aiming to pursue a career in international business. The program combines core business administration concepts with management skills, preparing students for a global career in areas such as sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and project management. Graduates emerge with the ability to navigate EU as well as international business environments and develop strong professional competencies in various functional areas of a company.  

At the graduate level, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offers an exceptional opportunity for aspiring managers and leaders. This full-time program not only builds a solid foundation in business theory but also focuses heavily on practical business skills, enhanced by the faculty’s close ties with industry leaders and top companies. Students engage in simulations, professional debates, peer learning, and real-world case studies. Through business clubs and simulation challenges, students tackle real-world problems, enhancing their decision-making and problem-solving skills. Students can deepen their knowledge in Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, and Management, allowing them to tailor their learning experience to match their career goals. The MBA program equips students with vital leadership skills like credible communication, assertiveness, and a deep understanding of market forces that drive the business world.  

For those pursuing advanced research and academic careers, uniquely in Hungary, the The Hantos Elemér Doctoral School, part of the Faculty of Economics, offers comprehensive and rigorous PhD programs in two scientific fields, preparing doctoral students for high-quality research in management and organizational sciences or regional sciences. With a strong international component, the doctoral program is a member of the European Doctoral Programs Association in Management and Business Administration (EDAMBA). PhD candidates can specialize in areas such as Business Economics, Finance, & Accounting, Management, Marketing, or Regionalism, Spatial Theory, Space and Business, among research-focused subjects, ensuring they are equipped with deep expertise to contribute to their fields.

International network

 The Faculty of Economics at the University of Miskolc has made internationalization a strategic priority, building an extensive network of global partnerships. Currently, we collaborate with institutions across 25 countries on four continents, fostering active academic and research cooperation. These partnerships facilitate student and faculty mobility, joint educational programs, and collaborative research projects. As a result, we are seeing a growing number of joint publications with international partners each year, enhancing our global academic footprint. 

Our international activities are highlighted by the biennial “Mérleg és Kihívások” conference in Lillafüred, which focuses on value creation, sustainability, and digitalization. The event is significantly enhanced by the participation of our international collaborators. Additionally, for over a decade, we have co-organized the “Emerging Markets Economics and Business” doctoral conference with the University of Oradea, demonstrating our commitment to fostering academic growth. 

The Faculty of Economics actively participates in the Pannonia Scholarship Program, which offers short- and long-term mobility opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to study, teach, or conduct research abroad, not only within Europe but across the globe. Furthermore, through the CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) network, we strengthen student and academic exchanges in Central and Eastern Europe, promoting regional collaboration. 

We offer 45 courses taught in English, providing a truly international learning environment. Students from across the globe, including France, Spain, Germany, and Ukraine, study at our Faculty through various mobility programs. This fosters a multicultural atmosphere where collaborative group work and presentations help students improve their language skills and gain global perspectives. 

Additionally, the Business Club serves as a platform for both international and Hungarian students to meet successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, offering valuable insights into the world of business and career development. 

The Faculty of Economics has also been involved in numerous international research projects, from leading initiatives under the EIT KIC Raw Materials to participating in H2020, INTERREG and ESPON programs. These projects enhance our international research collaboration, addressing critical global challenges and contributing to the Faculty’s reputation as a leader in economic research.
