The Foundation’s properties

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 3/E. § (1) of Act XXXIX of 2020 on the Universitas Miskolcinensis Foundation and on donation of assets to the University of Miskolc, the 20% share of ÓAM Ózd Steelworks Ltd., previously owned by the State, was transferred to the Foundation to enable it to fulfill its public tasks and public interest objectives.

ÓAM Ózd Steelworks Ltd. is Hungary’s outstanding, well-equipped modern plant manufacturing and selling hot-rolled rebars, steel bars, wire rods and welded wire mesh. The company is considered the successor of the steel industry in Ózd, with a tradition of 150 years.

The property located in the Csanyik Valley (parcel number Miskolc 01223), which used to function as a sanatorium, became the property of the Foundation pursuant to the provisions of Article 3/C of Act XXXIX of 2020 on the Universitas Miskolcinensis Foundation and on the transfer of assets to the Universitas Miskolcinensis Foundation and the University of Miskolc.
