Citizens of the University of Miskolc are entitled to use the services provided by Microsoft 365, formerly Office 365 for higher education.
A prerequisite for this is the existence of a Microsoft account at the University of Miskolc. The user ID will be the institutional email address.
All university employees have a university email address, and students receive it in a Neptun message when they enroll.

Students and lecturers of the University of Miskolc are also entitled to a free download of the office software package M365. The M365 package includes Microsoft Teams in addition to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote software.

At the beginning of the semester, based on Neptun data, UNI IT automatically creates M365 account and student e-mail address for students of University of Miskolc who has active status. Login information is sent to the e-mail address provided in Neptun. The format of the student e-mail address is x.y@student.uni-miskolc.hu. The services of M365 can be accessed with this e-mail address and the associated password. It is important that your private e-mail address must be set in the Neptun system.

Using the advanced and secure authentication system of M365, we can access the university e-learning system, the new sports activities web application and we can also connect to the student WiFi using this.
Within the framework of the “Tisztaszoftver” program, as long as you are an active student, you are entitled to download and use Microsoft M365 Office. You can also activate this with your M365 username and password.
The ME-Student Wi-Fi network is available at whole Campus. We recommend the useage of this network for our students. To connect, you need your M365 username and password.
Login to eduID and eduRoam is currently available with a different username and password, but we have set it so that the username is the same as the M365 username, and the initial password is also the same.
In order to provide more modern and, we hope, more likable student IT services, further IT developments are currently taking place, which we will provide information on.
IT Services (ISZO) offers e-mail address of students and staff of University of Miskolc (hereinafter referred to as personal email address) for the University’s central mail system. A student or employee may have only one personal email address. The goal is for all students and staff to have a university email address and official correspondence through this address.
Student e-mail addresses (student.uni-miskolc.hu) are automatically generated based on Neptun data and ISZO sends information to students secondary e-mail address (gmail, hotmail, etc.).
We have migrated student e-mail system to Microsoft M365 cloud, so a modern spam filter, MS Teams, calendar, online Word and Excel will help your studies.
In order to provide more modern and likable student IT services, further IT developments are currently underway, for which we ask for your patience and understanding.
Currently two login systems are operating in parallel, one for e-mail, Teams, and another for eduID, eduRoam (WiFi). The username is the same in both systems, and the initial password is also the same. For IT security reasons, the initial password must be changed. In the case of M365, we can enforce this technologically, while in the case of eduID, eduRoam, we can only recommend and request it. If you previously had eduID or eduRoam access, your password has not been changed.
IT Services of University of Miskolc (ISZO) operates a wireless Internet network (WiFi) on the territory of the University of Miskolc, which is used by both university employees and students (hereinafter users).
Each user can connect to the “Eduroam” network or use the EduID service with his central ID (username / password). The settings required for joining eduroam may vary from institution to institution. The “eduroam” network of the University of Miskolc requires the following settings: WPA2-Enterprise network authentication, AES or TKIP data encryption, EAP-TTLS authentication mode, PAP authentication protocol.
If you are using Windows, macOS, iOS, it is recommended that you install the pre-configured setup: download and install the appropriate configuration for your institution. You can also do this using the “GUEST” network.
