Scientific Students’ Associations of the University of Miskolc

National Scientific Student Conference (TDK)

The activities of the university’s scientific student groups are coordinated by the University’s Scientific Student Council (ETDT). The ETDT is under the supervision of the rector, which supervision is performed by the academic vice-rector under delegated authority. ETDT members: the president and secretary of the Academic Student Council (TDT) of each faculty, as well as 1 student delegated by the faculties (institutes). 

The ETDT develops the organizational and operating regulations of the university’s scientific student groups, decides on the distribution of funds available for the tasks of the TDK, maintains contact with the OTDT professional committees, supports the international relations of the TDK , the popularization of the TDK, the publication and utilization of suitable theses, regularly reports on the results of TDK’s work and the activities of ETDT. 

Faculty TDK work is carried out under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty,. The number of members of the Faculty TDT is determined by the Faculty. The TDT takes care of the evaluation, and ranking of completed theses, organizes the university TDK conference sections, makes proposals for the presentation of outstanding theses at the OTDK, rewards students and teachers who perform outstanding TDK work, and reports on the faculty TDK activities. 

The head of the Faculty (institute) continuously monitors the TDK work of the educational units, the University can grant a  maximum 5-day exemption from the fulfillment of academic obligations to carry out TDK material collection and experimental work far from the headquarters of the University or institution, and promotes the participation of outstanding TDK students in domestic and foreign conferences and part-time training.
