The Vice President of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Rector of the University of Miskolc signed a Memorandum of Understanding during the visit of the representatives of the Chinese higher education institution to Miskolc. The meeting was organised thanks to the iStudy (China-Hungary Education & Technology Co.) partnership agreement.
The Chinese university met with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics and the Faculty of Materials and Chemical Engineering of the University of Miskolc, with which they are looking for future cooperation. In addition to the faculties, the delegation was also introduced to the Bosch Mechatronics Laboratory at the university.
On the occasion of the signing of the MoU, the Vice President of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Prof. Shi Daning, stated that as a first step they would like to develop short-term exchange programmes with the University of Miskolc – summer universities, intensive courses – on the basis of which discussions on dual degree programmes can begin.
Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) was founded in October 1952 and is one of China’s first aeronautical higher education institutions. It is directly under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.
The NUAA follows strict admission principles, typically only admitting the top 5 percent of students who pass the Chinese National College Entrance Examination. QS World University Rankings ranks it among the top 250 universities in the world in mechanical, aerospace and manufacturing engineering. The university is ranked among the top 300 institutions in Asia by QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
