When did you start your studies and why did you choose the University of Miskolc?
I started my studies at the University of Miskolc in the academic year 2021/2022. I was drawn to the university because of its highly regarded professors and the opportunity to study in a vibrant academic community. The picturesque, green campus also made it an appealing place to live and learn.
What are the places and activities that an international student should definitely try in Miskolc?
As an international student in Miskolc, there are some must-try activities. You can relax in the unique thermal cave bath, especially during winter, which is both rejuvenating and cozy. A walk through Miskolctapolca offers serene surroundings and a beautiful scenery. Additionally, hiking in Lillafüred is a great way to enjoy the stunning landscape and immerse yourself in nature.
What are/were your biggest challenges during your studies and how did you overcome these challenges?
One of the major challenges I faced during my studies was navigating the language barrier in various offices and administrative areas. However, I successfully overcame this obstacle with the help of the mentors provided by the University of Miskolc, who offered crucial support and guidance in both academic and daily matters.
What skills and benefits have you already gained from studying at the University of Miskolc?
Studying at the University of Miskolc has allowed me to develop a range of valuable skills. I’ve improved my communication skills, learned to work effectively in teams, and enhanced my social skills through various team projects and interactions with fellow students. These experiences have not only enriched my academic journey but also prepared me for future professional challenges.

The most important advice I would give to current or future students of the University of Miskolc is to fully engage in all the events, opportunities, projects, and trainings that the university offers.
