It reminds me that life is a constant drift, so your life will not always “be happy”.

When did you start your studies and why did you choose the University of Miskolc?

I started my studies in the academic year 2022/2023. I chose the University of Miskolc because it offers a perfect environment for carrying out my studies. You can find almost everything you need on campus! Additionally, my programme (PhD in Law) is well-structured and helpful in developing research skills in law. The programme is divided into two parts: two years of education and two years of research.

I think that every international student should visit Miskolctapolca. There is a beautiful park, and there is also a cave bath to relax. Another great place is the city centre because there are plenty of opportunities to find good Hungarian restaurants and places to have a drink.

What are/were your biggest challenges during your studies and how did you overcome these challenges?

The biggest challenge is to adjust yourself to a new environment with new people, where everything is different. Sometimes, you will feel homesick. Additionally, at the PhD level, you have to publish and participate in different conferences with presentations, and this is academically demanding.

What skills and benefits have you already gained from studying at the University of Miskolc?

I have already gained a broader view of the world, shared activities and made friends with people from different backgrounds from almost every continent. Furthermore, my research skills have been improving thanks to the lectures and activities that the university has organized for us.

How do you think your Miskolc University degree will help you in your life and career?

I believe that my PhD will open many doors for me at various universities and organizations due to the skills I develop here in Miskolc. Furthermore, once I finish the programme, my CV will be strong, considering that I will have some publications and presentations at conferences around Europe because they are requirements of the programme.
