When did you start your studies and why did you choose the University of Miskolc?
I started my studies at the University of Miskolc in 2020 for a master’s in geophysics due to its strong reputation, excellent faculty and research opportunities that matched my career goals.
What are the places and activities that an international student should definitely try in Miskolc?
In Miskolc, international students should visit the Miskolctapolca Cave Bath for a unique thermal experience and explore Diósgyőr Castle for its historical significance. Additionally, enjoying the scenic beauty of Lillafüred and its waterfall is a must. They should also participate in activities organized by ISAN, ISA, and student chapters like EAGE, AAPG, and SPE for a comprehensive academic and cultural experience.
What are/were your biggest challenges during your studies and how did you overcome these challenges?
One of the biggest challenges during my studies was balancing rigorous academic coursework, research responsibilities, and extracurricular activities. I overcame this by creating a detailed schedule, prioritizing tasks, and seeking support from professors and peers. Additionally, I improved my time management skills and set realistic goals to stay on track.
What skills and benefits have you already gained from studying at the University of Miskolc?
From studying at the University of Miskolc, I gained advanced technical skills in geophysics, strong research abilities, and enhanced problem-solving skills. I also developed effective communication skills and learned to work well in diverse teams. Additionally, attending global conferences and participating in major international competitions have further enriched my experience and achievements.

My degree from the University of Miskolc will provide a strong foundation in geophysics, opening up advanced research and career opportunities. The skills and international experience gained will enhance my professional credibility and support a successful career in the field.
What is the most important thing or advice you would recommend to active/future students of the University of Miskolc?
I recommend that current and future students at the University of Miskolc seek out research opportunities and participate in international conferences. Building strong relationships with faculty and peers, managing time effectively, and actively engaging in student chapters, ISAN and ISA activities will greatly enhance their academic and professional growth.

If I could choose a superpower, it would be the ability to instantly provide knowledge and resources to students. I would use this power to offer real-time guidance, access to research materials and opportunities, helping students overcome challenges and excel in their studies and careers.
