The Chinese New Year and the incoming Year of the Snake are being celebrated at the University of Miskolc. The Lantern Festival will be held on February 9 in the Ceremonial Hall, organized by the University’s Confucius Institute.

In addition to spectacular stage performances (instrumental music, singing, and dance), participants can also marvel at an authentic Chinese lion dance. Children and adults alike can try their hand at various arts, including Chinese calligraphy, paper folding, and fan painting. Moreover, there will be opportunities to taste traditional Chinese tea and dishes, as well as to try on traditional Chinese attire.
