The aim of this programme is to train environmental engineers with up-to-date knowledge in natural sciences, earth sciences and engineering, economics and management. One specialisation focuses on identifying and evaluating potential environmental hazards, preventing or reducing their impact and managing damage control projects. The other specialisation trains professionals in recycling technologies and processes.
Applicants are screened based on the documents uploaded to the Dreamapply system. Those who do not meet the eligibility criteria (relevant bachelor’s degree, language certificate of B2 or higher, or proof of studies conducted in English) are filtered out.
Applicants are assessed based on their uploaded documents and can earn up to 30 points. Points are awarded for professional background (qualification and work experience) based on transcript of records (15 points), motivation letter (10 points), and ranking of the higher education institution where the previous degree was obtained (5 points).
The online entrance exam lasts 20-30 minutes and includes pre-set questions to assess the applicant’s management knowledge, professional skills, thesis or project work, and language proficiency. Applicants can score up to 70 points: for professional background 50 points, spoken language skills 20 points.
Applicants can score a maximum of 100 points (30 points for document assessment and 70 points from the online entrance exam). Those who score at least 60 points will be admitted to the programme. Those who score less than 60 points will be rejected.
Graduates in Remediation and environmental geotechnics can develop and apply advanced level technical solutions to prevent contamination. They are trained in contaminated site remediation, risk assessment, planning and operating monitoring systems, conducting impact assessments and environmental protection reviews and producing impact studies. Graduates in Waste management can design and operate waste management and treatment systems. They are skilled in planning and implementing tasks related to waste treatment and disposal, design landfills and waste recycling facilities.
