Ticket types

  • You can buy a book of ten tickets valid within the administrative boundaries of the city. 
  • You can travel by using a 24-hour ticket, which is valid for 24 hours after the starting date and time (month, day, and hour) marked according to the customer’s request. 
  • You can also buy tourist tickets valid for 72 hours, seven-day tourist tickets, 60- or 90-minute tickets to be used on all scheduled services of MVK Zrt. for an unlimited number of travels within the administrative boundaries of the city. 72-hour tickets are valid for three days from the indicated date and time (month, day, hour, minute). The seven-day tourist ticket is valid from 00:00 on the specified starting day until 24:00 on the sixth day. The 60- or 90-minute tickets must be validated using the puncher device immediately upon boarding the vehicle, and they are valid for 60 or 90 minutes on all scheduled services of MVK Zrt. for an unlimited number of travels, within the administrative boundaries of the city. 
  • You can also buy a family ticket for the weekend (for one or two adults and up to three children under the age of 14). These tickets are valid for the entire weekend, starting from Saturday 00:00 and ending on Sunday at 24:00 on the lines of MVK Zrt., for an unlimited number of travels within the administrative boundaries of the city.

Attractions

You can easily reach the major sights of Miskolc by public transport. You can take a bus or tram to the Cave Bath and the boating lake in Miskolctapolca, the Palace Hotel, Hámori Lake or the waterfall in Lillafüred, but the castle of Diósgyőr or the beautifully renovated city centre is easily accessible from the train and bus station in Miskolc, as well.

Bus and tram lines

If you arrive to the city by train, you arrive to Tiszai railway station.

  • From the railway station you can get downtown directly by taking tram no. 1, 1A or 2, in about 6-8 minutes. 
  • You can also get to Diósgyőr directly by taking tram no. 1 in about 30 minutes. 
  • You can reach Lillafüred and Ómassa by taking bus no. 5 or 15 at terminus Upper Majláth (Felső Majláth) in about 15 minutes. 
  • The easiest way to get to Miskolctapolca is to take tram line no. 1, 1A or 2 from the railway station, to the Szinvapark stop. From there, take bus no. 20 at the Centrum stop. 
  • You can reach Miskolc ZOO and Culture Park using indirect routes. First take bus no. 1 and get off at Felső Majláth. From there take the ZOO line, which operates on demand, to get directly to Miskolc ZOO and Culture Park. 

If you visit Miskolc by coach, you arrive at Búza Square.

  • Downtown is just a few minutes’ walk from Búza Square. 
  • You can take tram line no. 1 to get to Diósgyőr in about 20-22 minutes. 
  • There are indirect routes to Lillafüred and Ómassa. First take bus no. 1 and get off at Felső Majláth. From there take bus no. 5 or 15 to reach Lillafüred or Ómassa. 
  • From Búza Square, you can reach Miskolctapolca directly by taking bus no. 20 or 20A The journey takes about 20 minutes. 
  • You can reach Miskolc ZOO and Culture Park using indirect routes. First take bus no. 1 and get off at Felső Majláth. From there take the ZOO line, which operates on demand, to get directly to Miskolc ZOO and Culture Park. 
Tickets

You must buy tickets for the bus and tram lines either in advance at the ticket offices or at the driver of the vehicle. Use the first door to get on and the rear doors to get off the vehicle.
