Scholarship For Senior Students

CALL FOR APPLICATION

The International Scholarship Programme for Excellence (ISPE) is open to non-Hungarian citizens who hold active student status at the University of Miskolc (UM) and have admitted to one of UM’s self-financed programmes.

The purpose of the ISPE is to promote students’ academic excellence and enhance the international reputation and scientific visibility of the University of Miskolc.

The ISPE scholarship is available for semesters following the first semester of studies. Applications for the scholarship are announced once per semester, and the scholarship will be awarded for one semester only.

The scholarship was introduced in the academic year 2024/2025, so only students who have been admitted in or after the designated academic year can apply!

Application Procedure

Students can submit their applications by completing the application form provided below.

Deadline: 9 February 2025

Evaluation Criteria

Scholarship decisions are based on:

• The number of credits completed, and
• The cumulative grade point average achieved during the active semester preceding the application semester.

Scholarships are awarded by the faculties of the University of Miskolc. To be eligible, applicants (excluding doctoral students) must have earned at least 20 credits in the semester preceding the application semester.

Announcement of Results

The results will be announced within 30 days following the closure of the semester prior to the application semester.

Amount of the Scholarship

30% of the paid tuition fee.

Terms and conditions of transferring the scholarship

To receive the ISPE scholarship, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• The student is not receiving any other scholarship during the relevant semester.
• The full tuition fee for the relevant semester is paid by the specified deadline.
• The student has active student status.
• The student registers in person at the beginning of the academic year.
• The student has a bank account in their name with a financial institution based in Hungary.
• The student accepts and signs the scholarship agreement, thereby agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined in this call for applications.
