The Centre for Foreign Language Education organised a workshop entitled The future of foreign language teaching: trends, methods, challenges on 16 October in the University’s renovated library. The next event is planned for spring 2025.
The foreign language teaching profession, like other fields, faces many challenges in the face of the specificities of the new generations, legislative changes and technological innovations, and there is no forum in our region where language teachers can exchange experiences and ask questions. For this reason, the Centre has launched a series of knowledge-sharing events for language teachers in the University’s catchment area, where participants can regularly consult with excellent representatives of exciting methodological topics.
On the first occasion, Jo Szőke, e-learning and artificial intelligence expert, gave an interactive presentation on artificial intelligence solutions for foreign language teaching, followed by Viktor Jilly, who once taught English to the population of our country through television, who demonstrated an exciting method of word learning with the active involvement of the participants.
The next workshop is planned for spring 2025.
