Information Technology Centre

ISZK

The Information Technology Centre provides IT and educational technology services to support the teaching, research and administrative activities of the University of Miskolc, which include:

  • IT network and firewall management,
  • Employee and student Wi-Fi service,
  • Management of staff and student correspondence,
  • Provision of VPN for staff, student and student student email, student and student student VPN,
  • M365 cloud service management,
  • Management of servers (Neptun, Poseidon, EvaSys, Digital Signage, Time and Attendance),
  • HelpDesk operation,
  • Operation of central computer classrooms,
  • Operation of e-learning servers,
  • Provision of EduID, eduRoam,
  • Educational technology activities,
  • Operation of university, faculty, tender websites,
  • Installation and management of university computers,
  • Management of university printer fleet,
  • IT procurement support.

Our staff is located on the ground floor of the IT Centre, building A/5.

HelpDesk

The HelpDesk is used to report and manage IT and IT-related problems of the University of Miskolc staff. It is mandatory to use the HelpDesk in all cases, because the reports and the work done are documented and archived for several years. The IT Centre will consider the notification and, if it would conflict with a rule or require significant resources, will indicate this to the notifier.

Note

The HelpDesk is only accessible from the university network and requires a central identifier to use.
