“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” – “The Gifts of Imperfection” by Brené Brown

When did you start your studies and why did you choose the University of Miskolc?

I started my studies in September 2023. I chose UM because it has the major that I want to study (logistics engineering) and also the university campus has an amazing environment to study.

What are the places and activities that an international student should definitely try in Miskolc?

I would recommend them to visit Miskolctapolca, the Cave Bath, Lillafüred.

What are/were your biggest challenges during your studies and how did you overcome these challenges?

The biggest challenge I faced during my studies was learning in a different language than my mother tongue and learning to balance and juggle everything, such as studying, doing part time jobs and doing sport activities and travelling all at the same time.

What skills and benefits have you already gained from studying at the University of Miskolc?

I learned people skills, communication and networking skills, because at UM you have a lot of opportunities to meet people from diverse backgrounds. This helps you improve your communication skills a lot and also grow as an individual.

How do you think your Miskolc University degree will help you in your life and career?

It will definitely help me achieve career success in the future, such as advancing in my career, becoming a manager, a leader. Additionally, the UM programme is recognised and approved all over the EU and internationally, which will be a big advantage.

What is the most important thing or advice you would recommend to active/future students of the University of Miskolc?

Be open to all kinds of activities and always try to join and socialise, because it is the best way to enjoy student life. You will learn lot of things from your classmates, mentors and the community. Respect every culture and religion, be mindful not to hurt others.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and how would you use it to help active/future students of the University of Miskolc?

Time travel probably, so that I could study and work at the same time, be present in all activities and events and share my knowledge with people around me.
