When did you start your studies and why did you choose the University of Miskolc?

I started my studies at the University of Miskolc in September 2023. I chose this university due to the high reputation it holds internationally. I was impressed by its majors, which are more industry-focused, and align with my career prospects.

What are the places and activities that an international student should definitely try in Miskolc?

Miskolc has many stunning places and landscapes worthy of visiting. Among them, I highly recommend Lillafüred.

The University of Miskolc holds many events that are very interesting to international students and Hungarians as well. I can recommend the Freshmen’s Camp, International Dinner, Orientation Day, Sports Day and Welcome Day.

What are/were your biggest challenges during your studies and how did you overcome these challenges?

One of my biggest challenges during my studies was getting used to the university’s education style. To overcome this, I engaged with professors to gain a clear understanding of the system, which helped me navigate my way forward. Additionally, I reached out to senior MSc students and PhD candidates who had already gone through similar experiences. They provided valuable insights and helped me resolve various misunderstandings.

What skills and benefits have you already gained from studying at the University of Miskolc?

During my time at the University of Miskolc, I have acquired a wide range of knowledge and skills in Materials Engineering that are highly sought after in today’s job market including but not limited to materials testing, process engineering specifically materials equilibria, composites and fillers, polymers impact modification, polymers reaction engineering, design and solid processing technologies, quality analysis skills and research skills.

How do you think your Miskolc University degree will help you in your life and career?

Earning my degree at the University of Miskolc is an honour, as it is an institution where engineering skills and competence are prioritized. The education and training I have received here have equipped me with a strong foundation to pursue my dream career as a Materials Engineer. I am confident that the knowledge and experience I have gained will enable me to address both industrial and technical problems effectively.

What is the most important thing or advice you would recommend to active/future students of the University of Miskolc?

My advice to current and future students is to be prepared to take on challenges and have a clear vision of what you want to achieve. Being versatile and self-driven are key pillars that will help you make the most of the opportunities available at the University of Miskolc.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be and how would you use it to help active/future students of the University of Miskolc?

If I could choose a superpower, it would be the ability to learn new skills instantly. This power would allow me to quickly acquire and master a wide range of skills, which I could then use to create simple yet supportive study guides for students. By doing so, I could help students grow and succeed together.
