CiRCLETECH – Workshop in the Spirit of Collaboration

Researchers from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, the Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology in Finland, and the University of Miskolc explored further opportunities for collaboration within the CiRCLETECH project. The aim was to outline future project possibilities and foster the formation of research groups working on multidisciplinary topics.

The main goal of the CiRCLETECH project is to significantly contribute to the professional development of researchers and research management professionals in the three partner institutions involved in the consortium, focusing on the circular economy. Additionally, the project aims to establish a knowledge and competence center, the CiRCLETECH HUB, at the University of Miskolc.

In line with these objectives, a workshop was held in Miskolc at the end of the past year to explore further collaborative opportunities with partner institutions.

“We sought areas during the workshop where we could continue the project with the involvement of additional international partners,”

– said Prof. Dr. Gábor Mucsi, Dean of the Faculty of Earth Science and Engineering.

The event was part of a series of initiatives organized by the university to promote sustainable development and natural resource management.

“In November, we hosted numerous programs that allowed us to showcase the work being done at the University of Miskolc not only domestically but also on an international scale. This program was a continuation of those efforts,”

– the dean explained.

In addition to identifying opportunities for collaboration, participants outlined future project prospects and established research groups to work jointly on the topics.
